The 350-cu.
in. small-block V-8 engine under the Chevelleâs hood is original and has not been rebuilt. The original intake and Rochester two-barrel carburetor have been replaced with an Edelbrock manifold and four-barrel carburetor (the original intake and carburetor have been retained and are available). The engine is said to start easilyand run well! The transmission is reported to shift âsmoothly and crisplyâ through all of the gears. The car rolled out of the factory in Gulf Green, but was repainted Verdoro Green Metallic in 1998. The finish remains âpristine, â with no dents, no scratches and no rust, but with a few stone chips from highway driving.
The glass and chrome are also said to be in great condition. The windshield has been replaced, but the rest of the glass is reported to be original, with no cracks or scratches noted. The window seals and moldings are also said to be in very good condition and a passengerâs side rearview mirror was added.
