1964 Chrysler Newport rare 4 door hardtop station wagon.
Built in a time when steel was king and plastic was for toys. Motor and transmission were rebuilt and function great. The whole car runs and drives amazing. Be the hit of the show with a car that says " I'm not run of the mill" Engine is rock solid 361 cu in v8. As noted , the
transmission has a small leak but does not affect shifting. Lights and all gauges work properly. The beautiful tri-coat pearl with base coat is dazzling. Car is a true head turner. Plenty of bright shiny chrome reflecting in the sun. The bumpers are straight and massive.
Talk about an interior , there is more glass than most new homes have. Imagine taking the whole family on a cruise that can carry The Brady Bunch and the dog too. The interior is all original and sports blue and white panels with high quality cloth. note small tear in drivers seat. Check out the dash, more style and glitz than a Rolex watch. 20 inch wheels and tires add a nice touch and have only 5000 miles on them. Painted 18 months ago. Car was rust free and solid.

straight. I replaced the battery, grounding cable, starter, and alternator.
The bulkhead (firewall area) and tub appear to be in good condition which are typically the hardest areas to repair. There is some corrosion present in the front foot wheels, doors, rear door, and one seat box. Center Diff was switched to a full synthetic as they seem to like it more from what I read. Front and Rear differentials were flushed and filled with standard gear lube (can't remember the weight right now). This Defender hasn't been leaving any stains on the driveway and no check engine lights are on.
