Tucked behind the birdpit is Honda âs 3.0L V-6 engine with 24 valves, double overhead camshafts, variable valve timing and electronic lift control (VTEC) and programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI).
This engine, which breathes via dual exhausts, is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Driver convenience features include automatic climatecontrol, cruise control, power and vented four-wheel disc brakes, power locks, power windows, power seats, power mirrors, tilt-telescope steering column and rear window defroster. Safety features include driver âs airbag, anti-lock brakes and traction control.
Inside, the car âs black interior (code E), is in overall excellent condition. The bucket seats are in overall great shape though the driver âs one obviously shows evidence more wear. The black carpet is in similar condition. The matching headliner is in excellent shape, as is the three-spoke steering wheel, inner door panels, instrument panel, center console and shifter. Rounding out the interior is a JVC AM/FM stereowith a CD player. The NSX was the first production car to feature an all-aluminum semi-monocoque unit body, incorporating a revolutionary extruded aluminum alloy frame and suspension components.
The use of aluminum saved nearly 440 pounds over the steel equivalent in the body alone, while the aluminum suspension arms saved an additional 44 pounds (much of it unsprung weight); a suspension compliance pivot helped maintain wheel alignment changes at a near zero value throughout the suspension cycle. The engine is a 360 with with Comp Cams 268H Kit (Cam, Sprocket, Timing Chain, Valve Springs, Lifters, Pushrods, Valve Seals) installed during rebuild.
Engine electronics are all new, as well as the radiator, and the fuel system from tank to carburetor. The transmission is a 904 with stage II shift kit installed during build. There is less than
1000 miles on the rebuild of motor and trans. Car has disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear. Brake hoses are new and brake lines to rears are new as well. The exterior sports recent paint work with the color being Crimson Metallic Red. Door mirrors are new as well, the rest of the exterior bright work is original and could use chroming.
One of the trunk hinges trim is broken but I have already ordered the replacement. Windshield has a crack in the pictures but was replaced 3/13.

The body is super straight bodylines are gorgeous and has no rust whatsoever with solid floors as it was garage kept and never driven in harsh weather. Suspension has been upgraded with bilstein shocks and springs giving it a smooth ride and euro look.
Wheels are in excellent condition 16 inches in size with newer comeho ecsta tires purchased and installed in 2017. The white interior is in great condition and looks/feels like your in a 1987 BMW showroom when you get inside. Most of these E24's suffer from dash problems, they normally warp very badly split up or crack.
As you can see in the photosthe original dashboard looks fabulous and not worn down or destroyed. The M steering wheel looks and feels great as welland even the Gauge display still has the fuel sticker on it. There is no check engine or warning light on and all power windowsseats and electronics function as they should. Engine runs perfect as a result of so many years
of preventive maintenance and keeping it in top running condition. Oil was changed religiously and we have extensive service records dating back to 1996. Recently replaced Clutch master cylinder last yearin 2016 Full Super sprint exhaust installed including center resonator and rear muffler.
few more repairs at that time flex disc transmission mount differential mounts and shifter seal. New alternator installed 2014 as well as diff fluid tranny fluid. Back in 2011 new fuel pump, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and radiator all installed.
