It was restored in 2015 and the FRAME-OFF restoration started with a late model 1980 BJ40 Diesel Chassis, Motor and Transmission.
However, the Rust Sensitive 1980 Body was replaced with a Heavier Rust Resistant Body (from a 1973). It is powered by a completely Rebuilt Toyota 3.2L 2B Diesel Engine, Rebuilt 4-Speed Transmission, Power Steering, Front Disc Brakes, Safari Roof Rack and has new TIRES all around.Used 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser 4,200 miles
