Per the âVâ code on the door ID tag, the original color for this car was Light Pewter, but it was repainted blue.
There is no apparent rust and the glass and window seals are said to be in good condition, along with the exterior bright trim, which appears to shine well. All of the exterior lighting works. The black vinyl interior has beenre-trimmed with seat covers featuring blue inserts â and Mustang ârunning horseâ logos â that complement the exterior. The seat upholstery, along with the door panels and dash pad, is in very good condition, with no significant visible wear and no rips or tears, but some visible fading in the dash pad and tops of the door panels.
The carpet and headliner are also reported to be in very good condition. Additional aftermarket upgrades include a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a three-gauge panel, as well as a fire extinguisher mounted between the seats. This Mach 1 was born with a 351 Cleveland V-8 engine and thatâs what still resides under the hood. it's the original engine, butit has been recently rebuilt and now has less than 500 miles on it. Performance enhancements include an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Doug Thorley ceramic-coated headers and a custom exhaust system.
Thereâs also a Summit Racing high-energy ignition distributor and a new radiator. There are no reported leaks or cooling issues with the engine and it reportedly starts, idles and runs very well. The engine compartment features fabricated shock tower braces. Backing the 351C is a recently installed rebuilt Top Loader four-speed manual gearbox, which sends the engineâs torque to a 9-inch rear axle. The ID sticker indicates the car came with 3.00-geared Traction Lok (limited-slip) rear axle. It is not known whether the original gear set is in place. This 1969 Ford Bronco has been the subject of a reported frame-off restoration, and features many upgrades from stock, including heavier-duty differentials, a truck four-speed transmission, and a recent replacement top!
the 302-cu. in. V-8 under the hood of this 1969 Bronco was removed, disassembled, and bored.030 over. The seller adds that
the heads were shaved, and the engine has a new crank, pistons, and fewer than 1,500 miles since rebuild. The engine breathes through cast-iron manifolds into a dual exhaust system. the engine âfires immediately if itâs been used recently, but if itâs been left to sit, it requires two pumps to set the choke.
â He also notes that the engine leaks a bit at the vacuum area on the valve cover. The engine pairs with a New Process 435 Toploader heavy-duty four-speed manual transmission, a serious upgrade from the three-speed that was equipped in the truck originally. the transmission shifts well through all the gears. The Bronco features a Dana 20 transfer case with high and low ranges
and a neutral position, shifted by a Mustang-style T-handle shifter. The front differential is upgraded from a Dana 30 to a Dana 44. A Ford 9" rear end with factory posi-traction was installed and the locker was all rebuilt by Drive Line Specialists.
this Bronco was the subject of a frame-off restoration, which occurred 12 years ago. He notes that there are no dents in the body, and that, while there are some small cracks and chips in the paint, overall it looks good. The rear fenders were cut and rounded, then equipped with rubber flares that match the front, and the hood is painted flat black to reduce glare. The grille has been painted body color, while the headlight rings are
still chrome. The front and rear chrome bumpers appear to be in excellent condition, with no visible damage or pitting.
Modifications outside include later-model swing-out mirrors, tube side steps, and a Class III receiver hitch. The Bronco has a black replacement top from Bes Top, which appears to have no rips, tears, or scratches in the windows. the seats were upgraded to Tom's Bronco Parts power-washable, high-back bucket seats. He points out a less than 1-inch seam separation in the driverâs seat. Door panels on these SUVs are simple flat panels, which appear to be in good condition. The armrests show no significant damage, in the photos. The floor is covered with a loop pile black carpet, which appears to be in good condition.
The passengers are protected by a full padded roll cage. The metal portions of the interior were painted to match the exterior and the dash appears to be in good condition, with some light abrasion from the swinging key in the ignition switch. The vinyl dash pad appears to be in excellent shape, with no visible cracks or damage. The factory radio has been replaced with a later-model DIN AM/FM/CD player.
