1970 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400, This car is a real Formula 400 that has had some Trans Am goodies added over its life (Original Shaker Hood, Side skirts and front lip).
Motor: 69' 428ci with the sought after Ram Air IV #614 heads extremely well built and healthy motor. (I also have the original 400ci block, heads and crank that go with thecar). Suspension: Global West Sway Bars front and rear, Global West Springs, Sub-Frame Connectors. Car is very rigid and handles extremely well. Brakes: Upgraded SSBC front disc brake kit. Interior: New Headliner, New Carpet, Original Seats and door panels recovered in high grade vinyl, roll bar powder coated satin black.
Interior is very nice. (i have the original headrest that go on front seats that go with that car along with the hardware). Wheels: 20'x8" US Mags with Falken 295's rear and 245's front (I have the Original 15" PMD wheels with Tires as well). Paint and Body: The car was just painted and looks amazing, The car was stripped down panel aligned and blocked, Glasswas pulled out and doors, fenders, hood and trunk lid pulled off for painting than color sanded and buffed. The planning, execution, and effort was all in pursuit of building a long lasting, reliable, and fun car. Complete frame off restoration including panel replacements, partial floor/trunk
pan replacements, firewall/dash replacements/repairs. Panel/door/hood and deck lid alignment is tight and consistent. 3 coats of color, 3 coats of clear, wet sanded and polished. This paint job looks poured on. Custom front badging (5.3L) matching original design.
Badges were late so some pictures show original 307 badges. Currently showing one side mirror. Engine is a 5.3 liter LM7 from an â03 Tahoe with the 4L60e 4 speed automatic transmission. Engine was dyno tuned to 299.4 wheel horsepower. (wanted to round to 300 but hey, gotta sleep at night). Custom seats and console. All new original style reproduction interior panels and accessories. Retro looking audio system with Bluetooth,
