This custom build was not some amateur backyard 'stuff-a-V8-into-an-old-MG' shade tree project.
The bodywork was carefully modified to accommodate the new engine. headers. heavier drivetrain and wider wheels. but done so subtly that the car still looks stock. It has a Rover (Buick) aluminum V8 that has been professionally blueprinted and upratedfor increased power from its now-308 cubic inches. The car has a T5 5-speed transmission with appropriate ratios for searing acceleration and comfortable cruising on the highway. plus the clutch. driveshaft and limited-slip diff have all been upgraded with heavier-duty components than the stock MG had.
