in. small-block V-8 powers this 1957 wagon. the engine has approximately 55,000 miles on a rebuild and that âit runs perfect, starts right up, and doesnât burn or leak any oil. â The engine is reported to run cool, thanks to an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. A polished aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock four-barrelcarburetor with an electric choke, Dougâs exhaust headers, and a Mallory ignition system are evident in the photos provided. the rebuilt Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 three-speed automatic transmission shifting as âpretty smooth with no clunks or thumps.
â The red body with a white roof paint scheme is a very popular Tri-Five combination. The paint condition as ânear perfectâ with no noted ripples, dents, or dings. As for rust, âThere are a couple very tiny spots that were there when we purchased the vehicle and they have not grown in size at all. â There are no cracks or scratches in the glass, the seals are good, and the car doesnât leak. This 1957 Bel Air station wagon hasbeen reupholstered in the factory-correct two-tone red-and-black cloth/vinyl material. The factory steering column is topped by a custom billet steering wheel.
The stereo is an older cassette deck that came with the car. The front and rear springs were recently replaced, but most of the suspension components are as they were when the car was bought.
