Original engine professionally rebuilt, increased to 2138 cc from 1991 cc with 86 mm pistons from 83 mm, 270ð camshaft. A spin on oil-filter was installed. The car has had annual professional maintenance. Heated storage, not driven for the last four years but has recently had a thoroughmaintenance check. After all fluid were drained and replaced, new spark plugs and a complete lube and tune-up our local LBC mechanic says there are only two things that could be done. He missed the fact that the seal in the steering column needs replacing (didn ât notice the leak until he had it back together).
He also suggested that because the choke is hard to pull out that a choke with finger grips might be a good idea.
